The Morton West Concert Band and Wind Ensemble performed before music professors from several universities at the UIC Band Festival last Friday. After their performance, one of the judges offered a 25-minute clinic for the ensemble, focusing on specific areas to enhance their overall sound and musicianship. In addition to this clinic, the ensemble received written and recorded feedback, and a performance rating. Both ensembles achieved Division I (Superior) ratings. Congratulations to our student musicians and Mr. Boland for guiding the band program to this achievement!
During March's Board of Education meeting, several of our sports teams were honored for their achievements this season, including Girls' and Boys' Bowling, and Girls' Wrestling teams. Each athlete received a certificate recognizing their dedication and accomplishments, which included reaching the State level and competing against hundreds of students across Illinois. Keep pushing forward!
