District 201 welcomed their new teachers at their annual new teacher orientation. Our first year teachers were able to learn about District 201, speak with current students about their experiences on campus and collaborate in teams to be prepared for the 2024-2025 school year. GO Mustangs!

Mustang families, the 2024-2025 lunch application is available online!
Families can begin completing Lunch Applications on-line for the 2024-25 school year. Paper Lunch Applications are available in English and Spanish to print and download via the food service page.
Traffic Safety Action Plan Survey
We want to hear from you!
The Town of Cicero is working with the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning to create a Traffic Safety Action Plan, with the goal of eliminating deaths and serious injuries caused by traffic crashes.
District 201 appoints two new student board members
Morton East's Zoe Bustamante and Morton West's Abbie Valladares-Stevenson were appointed student board members at the July 2024 board meeting. Congratulations to our Mustangs!
Girls Rugby finishes 2nd in State
In the begining of June, the Morton girls Rugby team competed in the Rugby Illinois Division 2 State Championship in St. Charles. Demonstrating #MortonPride throughout, the team proudly finished their season as 2nd in State!

Mustangs volunteered for the Annual Town of Cicero Cleanup Week
Last Saturday, May 11th Volunteers gathered for the annual Town of Cicero Cleanup week drive. The volunteers included local businesses, community organizations, the departments of the Town of Cicero and of course students from Morton!

Samantha Lopez, a 2024 graduate, was awarded $2,000! Sam will be a freshman at Kendall College at NLU this fall, pursuing her AAS in Culinary Arts. She was part of the Morton East ProStart team for the State Invitational last March, where they placed 4th. Sam was an instrumental part of the team in her 3 years enrolled in culinary arts, helping run events and taking the lead in the lab.

On May 20, the Morton 201 Foundation hosted its Scholarship Recipient Luncheon at the Morton West Freshman Academy for its 2024 Pay It Forward Scholarship recipients and their families, as well as the donors and corporate sponsors who made their scholarships possible.
